While the Brain Health Prize is brand new this year, the examples below highlight innovative, student-led projects that earned the People’s Choice Award during the Center for BrainHealth’s Summer Scholar Program. These teams were challenged to make brain health actionable and inspiring within their campus communities. We hope their ideas inspire your own!
Thrive Guide: BrainHealth Edition
Harshini, Ji Yoon, Alanna, Eva
Local environments — from campus spaces to neighborhood businesses — offer convenient entry points for intentional, brain-healthy experiences. When students connect with these resources in a guided, social, and meaningful way, it can spark sustainable habits and a shared wellness culture. The Thrive Guide: Brain Health Edition is designed to meet this need. It offers a way for students to explore, track, and sustain brain-healthy strategies through a digital event passport complete with shareable progress cards.
CB Coffee & Co.
Alexander, Mary Frances, Lilly, Molly
CB Coffee & Co. plans to implement brain healthy practices into a student’s designated coffee breaks. The coffee truck will promote brain health in a way that fits into college students’ busy schedules, meeting them right on campus with brain health tips and reminders on their coffee cup sleeves.
C.A.R.E. Package
Getsemani, Raviv, Genesis
We want to build a community of compassion and empowerment through our C.A.R.E. Package program, which will provide students with items that encourage brain health while also reminding them they have support on their collegiate journey.
